Birthdays!

I forgot to blog about Scot, Brady and Leah's birthday! The shame! What a bad Mom!
We have celebrated numerous birthdays in the last month. First there was Brady's on Jan. 28th. Then Leah's on January 30th. Then Scot's on February 8th. As a family, we are getting O.L.D.

For Brady's birthday, we did a spend the night party. He invited all his friends. It was crazy, loud, and fun. He enjoyed it. I didn't take any pictures because, frankly I was too busy watching the boys.

Leah's birthday was low-key. She chose to eat out and then get her ears pierced. She was so brave and we were so proud.

That weekend, we went to Joe's Crab Shack and had crab for dinner. The children got to celebrate their birthdays again! The fun never ends!

On Scot's birthday, we were skiing. It was fun and different. (Ignore his hair in the picture below- that's what wearing a hat all day will do for you).

Overall, it's been a great month!

Skiing

Recently we went to Ski Beech so that the children could play in the snow. I, originally, did not plan on the children skiing. I figured they would play and maybe go tubing. The last day we were there, we spontaneously decided to ALL go skiing. Although there were some tense moments, all of the children ended up doing really well. Brady actually really liked it and cannot wait to go back. Here are some pictures of snowy fun and skiing!
The picture below is Daddy making a ginormous snowball...

Making Smores (it was Vicki's first time to have a Smore- gasp!)

In the photo below, you can see how comfortable I am on skis. I felt that the poles were the only thing really holding me up. And even then, they didn't do that good of a job.

That snow is COLD when you're laying in it.

We had a great time and we hope to go back again soon!

Toothless!

Leah recently lost a tooth on our trip to the mountains. She was so excited! Mrs. Niedrach (being the Tooth Fairy and all) was not excited to have to fly all the way up there to bring the money.

As usual... Daddy had to pull the tooth. Leah initially asked me, but since I didn't want to fall out in a dead faint in the middle of the ski cafeteria, I felt that Scot should just do it. Leah was pretty brave and seemed to be very excited to have the tooth pulled. Personally, I think Scot redeemed himself for the time that he pulled Brady's tooth with the pliers... Look! It's a blast from the past!!!...

As you can see here... Leah was just a baby. This is before she even had any teeth really (sob!). The above picture shows Brady (around Leah's age) getting his first tooth pulled by pliers. Although Scot meant well, I think the site of the pliers was just too much for the children and they've never forgotten it. I'm pretty sure that Mrs. Niedrach has pulled all of Christian's teeth because he is deathly afraid of the pliers (which is why I don't have any pictures).

Anyway, Leah was very happy and we were all thankful that Mrs. Niedrach braved the flight and brought some money!

What a big girl!

Happy Valentines Day!

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! We spent lots of time with family and had a low key day at home. Although there was some bickering from the children; overall it was a great day!
