This weekend, we decided to get away from it all (and really, can you blame us?) and go to Lake Lanier Islands. Leah affectionally calls this "The Wavepool". More on that later though. Luckily, our friends, Tim and Vicki live about 10 minutes from there so we decided to visit. We only get to their house about 2 times a year. Scot was particularly excited to see Tim's new deck that he has been working on for a while now. You can read more about that here...
http://www.masterofstuff.blogspot.com/ . We love Uncle Tim. He is just plain fun to be around.
Tim is always up for any ride...
We were particularly impressed by his finished deck. Tim did this himself and it turned out great...

It's very fancy. We had fun sitting out there enjoying the summer evening. Tim plays the guitar and he and Leah had fun singing and playing on the deck, though I'm not sure the neighbors enjoyed Leah's made up song...

So, I wanted to say... Good Job Tim! Your deck looks great and we enjoyed relaxing on it! You may have a second career in the making. Particularly if you charge by the hour :)

Holy cow! The guitar pictures make me look like I was poopin' in my pants! Honestly folks, all I was doing was holding G-A-D chords while Leah was strumming and singing the... uh... "SnotJack Song"...
(Sorry DeAnn, you thought Christian was the only rockstar in the family. Leah is growing in popularity...)
Leah said that she didn't think mommy wanted to hear it, but, mommy said it was OK since she was with uncle Tim. :P
The SnotJack song is all about how uncle Tim blows his nose. In the shower, at breakfast, at lunch, at dinner, etc... Then it morphs into
how I... Nevermind... I'll let DeAnn blog about it... :P
Vicki and I loved y'all coming out and visiting this weekend. We gotta do it again really soon!
Love, Tim the Torturer
I'm not blogging about the "SnotJack" song. I blame that on a weird combination of Scot's love of making up words to existing songs and your wackiness. I'm going to deny that I know about that song...
We had a lot of fun this weekend. Hopefully Leah will not sing her new song to the Kindergarten class...
